Waza (techniques)

Hello and Osu! To the right are links to demonstrations and explanations of various techniques encountered within Doshinkan Aikido. These techniques are the open-handed techniques of Aikido between Uke (the attacker) and Shite (the one receiving the attack) that end in Osae (pinning) or Nage (throwing). These techniques are all derived from a combination of basic movements and techniques, with concepts applied from the study of weapons techniques.

To the right, you will also find a link to demonstrations and short explanations of a sampling of techniques required for testing from 7th Kyu to 1st Kyu. These are an example of the techniques that aikidoka are required to learn before testing for each rank.
