March: Iriminage waza
Step-in or Entering throw techniques

 

This technique redirects uke’s line of power so that you can enter uke’s side. This makes uke unbalanced so that you throw uke’s body backwards. This technique can be applied
from either a standing or kneeling position, and in response to many different
attacks such as front strike, side strike, punching, or grabbing...etc.

 

Main points to study

1 Make sure uke’s body is unbalanced to the rear before you throw uke.
2 You must relay power to your hands through your knees and hips in order to apply this technique
