December: Nikkajo waza
second control techniques
Second control primarily acts on the wrist joint to unbalance
uke and put
him or her face downward. In a correctly applied second control, uke's hand
and wrist is in an 'L' shape and the elbow has to be bent a full 90
degrees. As with first control, second control can be performed standing or
sitting (kneeling), and can be completed with a pin or a throw.
